My specialized reporting course requires that we attempt to create a multimedia element for a story. I had the original goal of creating a new story with video and audio elements, but with no training and very little time I decided against it.

I will be better prepared to do this type of work next quarter when I am enrolled in a video production course. Students in this course will be required to produce commercials, public service announcements, video news releases, feature stories and a sports highlight show.

For now I decided to do something on a much smaller scale. I used the audio from an interview I had with Bob Finnerty, chief communications officer at RIT, about how RIT is using social media as a new form of communication. He also talks about the new Facebook photo challenge that the college is conducting.

So with no real audio editing experience, here it is:
