Well, I have won my first writing award. RIT will present me with a Henry and Mary Kearse Student Honor Award on Tuesday for a research paper I wrote during my Introduction to Journalism course. I took this course during my first quarter as a journalism student and it was my first research paper relating to the field of journalism.

The paper is titled, “The Rise of Infotainment and Its Impact on Audiences and Political Involvement.” I would describe the paper’s contents, but the title is pretty self-explanatory and I am also going to include the paper in its entirety below. Take a look, it’s only four pages long.

Now being in my third quarter of Journalism courses at RIT, I look back at the paper and see many areas that could be improved. However, I am very happy with it overall. Let me know what you think!
